About
I was born to an American middle class family with a twin sister at my side. We grew up together with three other sisters in a time when you could leave your house in the morning and play outside until the street lights came on. We played “hide and seek” and “kick the can” with the neighborhood kids, had great water fights in the summer and skated on the creek when it iced over in the winter.
We learned how to get along without our parents interfering in our fights and somehow we stayed healthy while playing in the dirt. While growing up my only name was “twin” because no one but my mother could tell my sister and I apart. That was fine with me because I knew that when I grew up I was going to change the world.
Fast forward many years and No I haven’t changed the world. Those were young and spirited free days which went by the wayside as I assumed more and more responsibilities.
After a few life changing experiences and some help from my friends, I finally got the courage to start a new Second Act in life. I have rekindled my spirit and found a new freedom. I know this sounds corny but I want the fairytale; I want to live “happily ever after.”
I hope to provide motivation and encouragement on this blog to help anyone who finds themselves in a similar position.
