Ask For Help

Overwhelmed

Sometimes, the steps needed for a successful Second Act can seem to much to handle. Take, for instance, the idea of retiring to a sunny beach in Mexico is a great dream, but how many people will actually take action and do what it takes to make that move?

You would probably have to get rid of years of accumulated stuff, learn a little Spanish, send changes of addresses to everyone, etc. In other words, it could be so overwhelming that you give yourself all sorts of “reasons” that moving to Mexico isn’t right for you.

You never make the move because it seems to big of a chore to take a chance like that. I have the answer!

Ask for help

Plain and simple, just ask for help. It’s the old fashion way of getting things done but it works. We call it outsourcing now but in reality is isn’t a new concept.

Moving to Mexico sounds huge and unattainable, but after breaking it down to simple steps it’s not that huge anymore.

Need help throwing out years of accumulated stuff?

Want someone to teach you some Spanish?

If you can’t find help for these tasks try posting on the web site DoMyStuff.com. This is a new site which brings together those who need help with those who have the time and energy to give the help.

The site is similar to Elance with an Ebay twist. You post the job that needs to be done and others bid on it. You can bid with money or make trades. I have seen some wild things being outsourced on the site. Did you know there are people willing to stand in line for you to get broadway tickets?

The important thing is to find a way to get the help you need. Don’t let that stop you.
